About Adventureland Daycare and Preschool
My name is Amanda, and I own a daycare in El Dorado Hills that also offers preschool. I grew up in the daycare business, because my mom ran a daycare. I have also worked for her for ten years until I decided to open my own. Working for my mom has given me tremendous experience with children and has fully prepared me to run my own daycare. During the time I worked at my mom's daycare I also was a full-time student and have earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus in Administration.
Adventureland Daycare and Preschool has high-quality equipment, toys, supplies, etc. My home is state and fire marshal inspected and SAFE. Here at Adventureland Daycare and Preschool, I am dedicated to providing the best care. Working in the childcare business for many years I have a wealth of information to offer. My family is very multicultural, and I understand the needs of children from different cultural backgrounds. I offer a preschool curriculum that is geared to improve developmental skills while also keeping children engaged.
Monthly or weekly themes are incorporated to the children's educational experience. Everyday we do circle time, arts and crafts, weather, letters, calendar, shapes, numbers, colors and preparation for kindergarten. By the time they go to kindergarten they will be more than prepared. During the summer months, we have our own fun in the sun program that is filled with educational field trips and summer activities.
All meals are included (breakfast, lunch, and snack). All baby food with the exception of formula is provided. I make all my baby food homemade with no added sugar and I use organic produce. I also have an infant nursery with beautiful murals painted on the walls. This room is specifically equipped for infants to offer a safe and nurturing environment. We are open 7:30 am-5:30 pm.

I was scouting daycare facilities and providers from the time I was six months pregnant and I visited over 16 Pleasanton and Dublin facilities. I walked into several preschools only to find multiple crying babies and teachers who simply didn't have enough hands to comfort them. Having an infant, I wanted to know my baby wouldn't be left crying on a mat by himself; I wanted to ensure he felt secure and safe and comforted.
The moment I met Amanda I knew she was the perfect fit for our family. She is warm and nurturing and I feel 100% confident that he is safe and happy in Amanda's care. Her home is filled with brand new toys for children of all ages and she's got a curriculum and book program for all ages. Amanda provides organic foods for children of all ages (she even helped me transition my son into solids when we were ready). There is a separate room for the children to nap so that they are not disturbed while older kids play. Each day I get a report of exactly what my child did and ate. Amanda has gotten to know my son's personality just as well as I do, and she can gauge when he's tired or hungry or in need of extra cuddles. It's this kind of attention to the children in her care that prove to me how amazing she is at her job. Her many years of experience at her mom's home daycare facility have prepared Amanda to know more about babies and children than most people and I'm constantly learning tips and tricks from her.
There's no way I could have returned to work if I hadn't found Amanda. Knowing my son is in safe hands is the most important thing to me. We love Amanda and are so lucky to have her as our daycare provider!

My husband and I are both full-time working parents with a 3 year old and 1 year old. We met Amanda at the daycare she was working at prior to opening up her own daycare and our kids ABSOLUTELY love her. Her daycare has the perfect set up for both ages, my youngest loves the Infant room and we feel comfortable knowing she has her own dedicated room with the other children her age. I highly recommend Amanda's daycare. She's warm, attentive, very focused on a curriculum that will put your children ahead of the learning curve, and very nurturing!!

We were so lucky to find Amanda with Magical Beginnings on Care.com a few months ago. The moment we met her we knew it was a fit! Her house is staged perfectly for children and reminds me of a preschool type environment. She has a great staff with tons of toys for children of all ages, the rooms are bright and colorful, the home is warm and welcoming. She is very experienced, knowledgeable, attentive, caring, full of energy, and very crafty! My son just lights up with a big smile when he sees her. For being a new mommy I was very nervous about putting my 3 month old into daycare but she quickly put my nerves at ease and made me feel very comfortable. We have had such a great experience with Miss. Amanda and I highly recommend Magical Beginnings Daycare!!
